Biography

ENGITA

Massimo Balestrini was born in Milan on the 3rd of March 1967. His passion for the figurative arts, and especially for visual design, led him to attend the Beato Angelico Art Institute in Milan where he received the title of Master of Fine Arts. About the same time he discovered a passion for the use of the computer in a new and creative way. Using a Commodore Vic 20, he made use of Basic, a simple program that can change the colors of the images of famous pictures. A Doctor in Information Sciences at the University of Milan, and never forgetting his old love for painting , he received a cum laude diploma in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, where subsequently he collaborated with Prof. Filippo Panseca on the Course of Computer Painting. BitMovie 1995 was one of the first three classifications in the international competition of computer graphics. In the course of his career in computer science, he has worked with: Il Sole 24 ore,Il Giorno, etc.

Massimo Balestrini is the lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona. 

His Pictures are in Italian and foreign Collections.
